The US isn’t perfect and there is a lot of things that can be improved, but it was a long journey to be here and I am proud, being an American citizen has a lot of perks. And is true, the future is difficult to predict. But that’s why voting and having a voice is so important. Thank you! Well I came here when I was 9, under my dads work visa. After a few years we were able to apply for a green card, we got it after 8 years we got it approved. You must have a green card for at least 5 years to apply for citizenship, I applied last year and got it 2 days ago. That’s the overall journey I had. But every process is different, and depending on where u are from also affects the timeline. It was overall a 17 year journey

Well for many places I needed a visa, so I would have to go to my home country, get an appointment and go to an interview and getting a visa is a coin flip. But now I can just buy a plane ticket :) after Covid is over of course, at the moment there’s not a lot of travel
