Michael Picard (troll in the video) and his accomplice Shaffer Steve love to wear the flag as a cape, and “accidentally” step on it during Trump rallies. It really drives people crazy.
Mike is a god tier troll. He’s a staunch libertarian who once successfully sued a police department for $40k (maybe even more) for fabricating evidence against him.
Lately he’s been strictly trolling right wing folks because they give better reactions, but he’s also trolled Bernie rallies with “I want free shit 2020” signs, and also trolled a gun control march by dressing in an orange prison jumpsuit with the sign “rapists for gun control”.
I never understood the whole flag worship thing. It’s fabric. Probably made in China too. Getting offended by someone stepping on it or burning it , is idiotic. They act like it’s the only flag there is.
Let's go one step further. The thin blue line flag is itself a desecration of the American flag.
Flag etiquette typically says that you should not write on or otherwise modify the flag. The US flag is intended to be a symbol of unity. Modifying it to represent a select group of people ruins its very nature.
Maybe, but I have a lot of respect for him because he really does fight for civil liberties. I know think he’s in law school too, I think he’d make a great addition to the ACLU some day.
If you care about the sanctity of the flag, absolutely. But they don't see it that way, because as far as they're concerned, their patriotism is assured, and they therefore have the right to skirt around the flag code they champion. Rules for thee and not for me.
You mean the people who wear clothes that are basically the American flag, which you shouldn't do? Or the ones who modify and display the modified version which you also shouldn't do?
Lol I was surprised at how civil they were. I know it’s a super small group but still. I’m used to seeing them freak out when someone comes to troll. Tony was really reserved. I respect that.
They tried to take the camera and cover up the incident with the flags. After that failed, I think they realized he wasn’t going anywhere and tolerated it.
Yeah see, that’s why I don’t respect them at all. If they’d been cool with it from the get go, I could have actually shown some respect for them... I mean I still wouldn’t support their cause but at least I could have respect... however, they did genuinely try to intimidate and prevent him from practicing his right to protest too, so it’s pretty effed of them still. Honestly, the only reason they didn’t try harder is because they were outnumbered and because they are in the Northeast where cops still suck, but generally suck a bit less and weren’t actively trying to protest with Tony and his gang (you know, like how there were all those cops who gave white supremicists a warning and told them they were with them).
I think its the mob mentality too. You could see there was a sizable amount of counter protestors that popped up eventually there. If that hadn't happened, I think it would have ended up much the same as his other encounters. People turning physically violent and trying to destroy his property.
Eh, if someone was at a BLM rally mocking them they’d get asked to kindly fuck off as well. I’m just pleased to see that someone joined a political based rally to openly make fun of them and there wasn’t any violence. There really wasn’t even a tense moment, the guys had a sense of humor at least.
This is Massachusetts, not Florida. Also New England has a culture of ball busting like this. If you’re not making fun of your friends all the time then you probably aren’t friends.
Eh, he was ready to come out swinging but the dude is so disarming that it's impossible to start a fight with him. Eventually they just accepted that he was gonna be a little weird and went with it. I think once people started showing up and they realized this dude was apparently pretty well-known, they didn't want to look like assholes to thousands of people.
Tony realized the guy is internet famous and didn’t want the police academy to see a video of him curb stomping a fat guy when he passes all his tests.
Exactly my thought. I'll give credit where it's due. What makes America great is opposing ideas while maintaining respect for each other. I think this video shows some aspects of that.
Tony is a good sport.
"This is the gayest shit ever, Tony."
“If the flag touches the ground, I’m gonna lose it”
Its even funnier in context.

Hey how can I see that stuff?
With your eyes
Ha ha, Got em'!
nice
/r/michaelpicard has some of his stuff... he posts most his videos on Facebook
Yuck.
He posts everything on his facebook, so look him up there.
He has some stuff on youtube, but mostly facebook.
As someone else pointed out, most of his stuff gets posted on /r/michaelpicard
I just really wish he'd mask up during these things.
He’s a libertarian. Masks infringe on his personal rights as a free American
Eh, only some of us are like that, ill wear one around others if they want or I'm inside a store etc
“Free American”

I'm gonna guess there is a strong correlation between being conservative and giving better reactions
FTFY
Yes, that is, in fact, the joke.
I'm helping!
That’s not just protesting, that’s performance art.
Disappointing.
Maybe, but I have a lot of respect for him because he really does fight for civil liberties. I know think he’s in law school too, I think he’d make a great addition to the ACLU some day.
I've seen most of his videos but I cant find the rapist for gun control one. Link?
This isn’t the exact video I was referencing but its them doing the same “rapists against guns” bit at another march.
I think changing the colors of the American flag is very offensive and inappropriate.
If you care about the sanctity of the flag, absolutely. But they don't see it that way, because as far as they're concerned, their patriotism is assured, and they therefore have the right to skirt around the flag code they champion. Rules for thee and not for me.
Blue fascist flags too?
lmao
Oh you Americans and your cute little flag fetish...oh boy.
We know... If you see a truck flying an American flag you can pretty much be sure that person is a moron, with a little bit of racist
You know for sure they’re rocking a microcock too
That's the thing. The ones with the flag fetish treat it with the most disrespect.
You mean the people who wear clothes that are basically the American flag, which you shouldn't do? Or the ones who modify and display the modified version which you also shouldn't do?
That had me dying
A Gay-Marxist-Muslim. I Lost my shit. i should of bought that mega phone at the thrift store last week. im a moron and second guessed myself.
I wouldn't expect any less from Tony the Tiger.

They tried to take his shit, if there weren’t other counter protestors their violence would have continued to escalate
Yeah tbh he actually tried to intimidate, it just didn't work.
tried to intimidate, then fell out of the van and lost all credibility lol
I thought that was a "fall out of van and accidentally-on-purpose shove" our homeboy here
He's lucky he didn't. Homeboy is from Connecticut and likes to sue the police.
I thought he was faking him out
Intimidation

New england seems actually pretty chill and mature about this shit compared to most of the rest of this country
Tell that to Diana Ploss! Mike has an extensive history trolling her and she always loses it.
As much as Tony is an idiot, he handles this very well compared to most auth-right folks Michael trolls.
Tony realized the guy is internet famous and didn’t want the police academy to see a video of him curb stomping a fat guy when he passes all his tests.
What up Tony glad to see ya here!
I think Tonys seen some real shit, this was non-threatening showboating so no big deal.
Tony was a full on retard.
Honestly these two could take this show on the road. I'd pay to watch.
The new hardball
It’s probably cuz he doesn’t wanna get sued
Exactly my thought. I'll give credit where it's due. What makes America great is opposing ideas while maintaining respect for each other. I think this video shows some aspects of that.
Yeah, but word on the street is, he told some teenagers he was going to piss in their mouths.
A good sport, able to support the entire weight of a man's size 9 boot, with the load distributed evenly across just his tongue, and tonsils.
You know what, we have different opinions and it's ok....
Yeah. I might not agree with his ideals, but that was surprisingly...friendly.
They didn't like him there, obviously, and tried a bit of shit, but noone got violent and in the end they even genuinely laughed at/with him.
