Just want to provide some background to this post.
A year ago I had my feet removed due to a tumor illness. Recovery went fine and I’ve been using prosthetics almost everyday. A few months ago I noticed that my right socket didn’t fit properly, this was due to excess “meat” at the end of my stump. This also lead to a bone bridge forming between the bones in my stump.
A few days back I had the meat and the bone removed.
Two days before my surgery my wife went into labor and we got our second beautiful son. My wife lost quite a bit of blood, so they had to stay at the hospital. When they finally came home, all feeling well, I was there waiting for them just out of surgery.
An intense week for sure, but the future is extremely bright.
If you want to follow my recovery with these awesome kids, take a look at my Instagram @ampisallen.
Now you can tell people your meat was so big you had to have surgery to walk right
Omg. That’s the best thing ever. Thank you for this!
"best thing ever", kinda fickle aren't ya
"Kinda fickle," kinda a pessimistic asshole aren't ya
I want to give a shoutout to your wife during this exciting but no doubt trying time. To have to worry about the love of her life going through surgery while raising two children is no easy feet. (Sorry, couldn't resist.)
She is my hero. I wouldn’t be where i am today without her. She keeps us all afloat. Thank you for giving her some credit!
Congratulations! Full hands, full lap, full heart. And lots of warm, fuzzy thoughts for a successful surgical outcome.
Thank you! Definitely full hands over here. Thankfully I don’t need full feet to enjoy this!
Thank goodness the wholesome awards are actually going to good use sometimes.
Thank you buddy, I’ll throw you one as well!
Congratulations man, your kids have the ultimate role model.
And I have the ultimate inspiration. Such motivation these two provide!
My dad rolled a tractor and smashed his leg 2 days before I was born. When my mom went into labor, they ended up giving him the wheelchair and she walked to l&d. My dad is president and owner of our family business, so he was always really busy- I’m the only one of his kids that he got to sit around and hold a lot when I was a baby. That’s probably why I’m his favorite.
This is wholesome
These kids are the best. The big one is helping out when the little one is sad. Kids are awesome!
OP it's always nice to get one of your updates. congratulations to your wife and you on the new baby. I hope everyone is healthy and recovering well. and same to you on your stump surgery.
sending you and your whole family lots of good healing vibes from across the pond
Good times man 😊
Congratulations on the new baby. You are a blast to read about, because you are so happy. Keep posting your epic pictures and stories, and be well!
Thank you, it makes me happy to get comments like this. I’ll keep you posted buddy! Take care!
You are great... Hope to raise your kids just as you are.
I gotta give you credit! I would be so concerned about who will help who with what (both of you recovering from things) and how to pay for it, but your just living life and thankful for it!
They are in the rest of the world. Where giving birth or having surgery sets you back like $20. So if there's no family around to help you have a decent chance if being able to afford a bit of help. Usually the older sibling is also allowed to go to daycare for like $80 a month or so. Usually leaves you some time to stay at home just baby and you.
You can also stretch your paid parental leave out to nearly two years even if you get less money eventually. Wife and I split and was home a year each with every kid.
All in all I believe him when he says they are doing well :)
Congratulations to your family! Wishing you a speedy recovery 😊
Oh my gosh, what an insane week! I hope that you have help and that you’re both feeling better every day. I was so happy to see this post(I’m always on the lookout for posts from you), and send you congrats and big, big hugs.

My feet!? I haven’t seen them in a year!
Honestly, don’t worry. My life is better than it was with those bad original parts.

Although I can't be the only who thought for a moment that you wife gave birth to a toddler 🤣 whoops!
Two boys ). This is so good. They will keep you running. You have two souls to keep up to you, to learn, to have fun. You and them are so lucky.
It’s sooo good! They’ll keep my busy for sure. The big one is already running circles around me! We are indeed lucky.
). It’s so fun to see kids growing and to pass knowledge to them. They are like sponge, sucking everything you can share in ))). Boys are special in their way... biking, fishing, motorcycles... damn.... so it’s just a beginning.... have fun. I am sure you will have a lot of fun
Grattis! :) Hoppas att ni båda två läker fort och minsta snabbt lär sig sova på natten.
