A party without cake is just a meeting.
It's a party for me when banana pudding is involved
A banana is enough too
It’s a party when I’m pudding my banana inside joe mamma
A meeting with cake, however, is still a meeting.
Very insightful indeed
Hello Bull City good morning I hope today is a nice day for you
No it's a party
A cake without a party is just where depression and exuberance meet.
A birthday party without a cake is just a meeting with balloons.
Julia Child, I believe?
This guy’s face is priceless. Love him!
It really is!!! It's wild how some people can put so much comedy in such subtlety
His weak smile at the end killed me
I think it was the sort of dodge he did right at the beginning of his part, as if to either avoid the cake or maybe even to "virtually" try and save it, or just watching/acknowledging it go down, that was also a nice little detail.
It just screamed “...white people...” As a white people I wholeheartedly agree.
No, just skinny girls in mid-twenties thinking they're hilarious.
Take it easy on them, most of the time in situations like this they “can’t even.....”. It’s a serious disability.
Fair enough! 😂
how hard is the cake tho? she picked up the cake without breaking it
Probably ice cream cake. I’d be pissed if I bought an ice cream cake only to have this happen. Ice cream cake fucking slaps
Ice cream cake is the best. Those little crunchy bits are heavenly. Honestly regular cake is overrated.
I think there's something wrong with your regular cakes
It probably has wooden sticks in the middle.
I just saw that post and winced in fear. I’m never doing that or letting anyone do that to anyone ever.
Thanks for the heads up.
Now I know there’s a post out there likely with somebody getting impaled in the face.
Actually. Maybe that’s enough Reddit for today.
Exoskeleton of fondant.
More like fon-pleasefucking-dont
R/fondanthate welcomes you
r/foundthemobileuser welcomes you too
that sub is fucking boring, just a bunch of posts of capitalised rs.
which is the point
I feel like if the cake was hard it would have broken easier than a soft cake with some give. Also it’s hard to see, but it does break right at the bottom
Sponge cake with fondant or similar around it, that coating was very thick.
Doesn’t look like a good cock. It looks too hard and firm.
Edit: fuck it, I’m leaving it in
That’s what she said
This did not make me smile :/
Same. Ruined what looks like a delicious cake.
That poor man deserves his cake damnit, he’s been waiting very patiently :(
Looks like it was covered in fondant, so no, definitely not delicious.
What happened to good old fashion frosting? I agree I can’t stand that fondant, looks great but taste terrible.
My theory is fondant became popular for wedding cakes because it looks perfect, and appearance is all that matters in a big lavish wedding. From there it's just a short walk to fondant becoming a symbol of luxury.
Fondant is literally only meant to look nice you’re usually meant to peel it off
That and I hate this rising trend of cakes that have barely any frosting. Like they look like a lot of it was scraped off to see the cake beneath. I was taught to decorate cakes and if you could see the cake underneath, you were doing it wrong. Trends are weird, frosting's delicious.
Then peel it off. Fondant is almost always over frosting and it’s usually not meant to be eaten even though it’s edible.
You can't taste cake posted to social media
Yeah, is this sub not meant to be for uplifting stuff? This is hilarious, but the joke is about a guy getting sad about a wasted cake. Not very uplifting.
Put a smile on my face! This guy is not at the party! It's jokey time. What's not to get. Silly hat, funny gestures. It's all gravy baby. I doubt he'd want anyone to take it seriously.
I love the video, it's very funny. But I dont think the sub's name is meant to be taken literally. Otherwise it would be no different than r/funny
Also, I may be a bit biased because I saw this posted 10 different places before it ended up here.
Bruh in a modless subreddit you can post whatever you want. If enough people like it without caring if it fits the sub or not, it will thrive.
The guy reaction made me smile
You guys make me smile
I smiled the first time, not the 8th time I saw this
Omg- this is a painful reminder.
I was a sophomore in high school and a super sweet senior apparently had a huge crush on me and literally baked me a cake and brought it to school- stupid stupid me didn’t catch on to that fact, even after he told me he wrote a poem for my bday but was too embarrassed to show it to me. Anyhow, he brought a beautifully decorated strawberry cake to lunch for me. My two idiot friends had fun dipping their fingers in it and smooshing their faces in it. I felt so bad. Stupid teenage me didn’t want to scold them but I also saw the disappointment in his face :(
I still think about it today and that was like over 10 years ago.
Wow.. that is actually saddening. Poor guy
Wow poor guy. I whould just leave those girls and hang out with him
The video and now this story. Worst MadeMeSmile thread ever.
Teenagers do dumb stuff but if you're still thinking about it, theres no harm in a sincere apology now. Better late than never.
You should track him down, bake a cake that says “sorry”, and send him a pic of it.
“I was told there would be cake...”
The 🍰 is a Lie
Now Milton, pass the cake around so that everyone gets a piece
Does anyone else get scared watching these videos that there are wooden supports inside the cake and the person is about to be impaled??
There was a post on the front page earlier today where that exact scenario happened
Edit: This one (NSFW)
I will not click. I suspect it's pics from makemesuffer that someone mentioned earlier today and now that sickening scenario has played over and over in my head at least a thousand times today and I've felt ill all day thinking about it. Even this post gave me anxiety.
Yeah is the one where a girl got her face pushed into a cake and she was impaled by the internal wooden dowel support. The wood went into her eye socket.
Don’t push people’s faces into cake ffs
I literally saw that two posts before this one and was terrified when I saw this.
Only because you just saw the r/wtf post. How often is a cake with nothing on top of it filled with pungie sticks?
Seriously though, don't waste cake. That shit is rude.
Bakers put things in to support the layers. They don't expect people to be pushing other people's faces into them. A lot of the time they will use straws or just specific wooden sticks.
I just don't get it. I've never thought to look for any kind of plastic or wood sticks in my cake before. I don't think it's ever happened where I've had a cake with anything inside to look out for when cutting it up. This sounds incredibly unusual.
It's for really large cakes or cakes with layers that are heavier than the bottom layers. It's just like a building, without supporting pillars it will collapse upon itself.
Sometimes cakes are that heavy that they have cake boards within the layers to further support.
I’ll admit I did see the post today but I’ve had this fear long before
I always think of someone’s nose getting flattened as it hits the plate or table or whatever the cake is sitting on 😖
Someone worked on that cake...
What is even going on? Why is she already leaning so far forward? There’s no candles, and people hands are already on her neck.. isn’t is supposed to be a surprise? Just a shitty video for views?
I don’t know where they are but in at least some South American countries this is pretty much always done so you can expect it if it’s your birthday
Wasting food is worse than sin where I come from
I just saw a video today where a dad could not afford a full cake and gave to his daughter a mini cake.
How is this making me smile? I just feel sorry for my man. He was really looking forward to that cake. Rainbow cowboy hat and all.
Made me sad
i really don’t think it’s cool or funny at all to shove somebody’s face into a cake
Yeah and they’re wasting all the materials it took to bake that cake
Also I’m confused, is that first hand pushing her head her own hand?? Like she was telling them to do it...?
Is this just an American thing, or just a social media trend? I've never seen anyone do this IRL.
I feel blessed for having only ever attended parties where, if there was cake, the cake was consumed in a normal and delicious manner.
The only times ive ever seen someone mash a face with cake in person is atweddings, and i hate that.
I dont get why anyone would do it. Its just mean
And a huge waste of cake
And money, wedding cakes are pricey
I have been to parties where they pushed the person's face into the cake. It's gross. I don't want to eat cake that was touched by someone's face. Thankfully this never happened on my birthday. If anyone ever pushed my face into a cake, the only thing I would be throwing at them are these hands
You’ve chosen your friends wisely
Me too, I fucking love cake
I feel better reading this
Well you probably don’t hang out with idiots.
This made you smile?
I genuinely hate people who do that’s. It’s wasteful and rude.
This did the opposite of make me smile. I hate when people do that! A complete waste of food, you make a huge mess, plus it's dangerous. I saw a video where they broke the glass table when the bday celebrant tried to push away and keep their head from hitting the cake. There was another where the lady got knocked unconscious after a "friend" slammed her head into the cake and she was lucky to survive because her idiot "friends" just laughed and left her face buried in the cake. Another woman nearly lost her eye because of a wooden dowel support in the cake. This is a horrible birthday tradition!
I detest this too! The dowel in the cake is a particularly horrific thought.
Pushing someone’s face in their birthday cake has got to be one of the lamest pranks
Why is this all the way down here?
I felt his disappointment, that caked looked delicious!
I would buy him his own cake, hit me in the feels my guy 😭
I'd be pissed as well, I go to those events 50% motivated by the food...
Awww no !! His sad face ! It’s so sad !!
that guy is totally me lol
So glad to know it’s not only my fatass that constantly thinks this in these videos
I feel this guys pain - I wanted cake
i love his outfit omg
It's probably because I'm just a cranky old bastard but I hate when people waste cakes like this... I'd be legitimately upset if someone tried this on me, it's probably so annoying to wash off!
People wasting food is gross
How would this make anyone smile this is sad

Can we please end this stupid ass trend of shoving people's faces onto cakes. It was dumb to start with and the unnecessary destruction of cakes is the icing on the cake of stupidity.
Can we stop with the dumbass tradition of smashing people's faces on the cake? It's not only a waste of a perfectly good cake but it's also fucking dangerous
Who is this guy? He’s hilarious.
Reddit just taught me to not do that, unless you want some spikes in your face.
Watch out for those nasty toothpicks
more like r/mademefrown
I have the same fork and I’ve felt the same disappointment
It’s the expressions for me lmao
Don't worry cowboy man, today is my birthday, I'll gladly give you cake.
Oh hell no, that was a beautiful cake
Everyone should be wearing those party hats
Waste of tasty cake!!!!
I just scrolled past the image of the woman who got a toothpick in her eye from doing this so I was super uncomfortable watching.
I was told I would receive a piece of cake
That reaction poor guy just wanted some cake
Tbh I wish people would stop this I know it’s a joke but they’re ruining perfectly good cakes
This reminds me of that incident where a girl got her eyes impaled on spikes that held the cake together. I can't see a cake-dace smashing video without remembering that
What has this sub become
Who is this guy and how can I send him cake for life?
For real. STOP. SMASHING. FACES. INTO. CAKES.
What a twat, I’d be really pissed off if I bought that cake and she threw the entire thing. The face pushing thing is all in good fun (if you know the birthday boy/girl is cool with it) but literally wasting the whole cake is shitty
Bruhhhh that cake looked EXPENSIVE
That cake looks like it was $20 at Publix
Cake was life
That cake looked hard as a rock. Still a shitty thing to do though.
I've been that guy watching only for someone's head to go into it or thrown. Very sad :(
The girl in the back missed all the with her face in her phone.
Made me cry
I can’t have shit in Detroit
All for missing the girl she was throwing it at...
Somebody get my boy a piece of cake stat
As a white person: White people man...
They way he moves his head hilarious
There were no candles in the cake.
I'd leave at that point and I'd take whatever unopened bottles are around with me.
What the hell!!!?? Why waste food like that
I feel your pain, bro. Love the hat
Me and the boys felt this
Why does this make you smile. Mans didnt get his cake
Why is this in r/MadeMeSmile?
She lucky the pointy sticks wasn’t in that cake
White people right?
Andre Drummond looking to get some cake
This was just a commercial for that girl's Instagram, right? Not the guy's edit, but the original.
I bet it’s not the first time someone has held her hair.
She brought a nuke to a knife fight
I just saw the original right above😂
Es hora de comer
Nooo the cake
the original post was on r/unexpected. this doesn't make me smile. poor guy wanted some cake.
He looks so sad :(
Made mw smile? Nah made me laugh XD
Excuse me, I was patiently waiting for my portion of that gigantic ass cake.
This guy actually made me laugh especially with that broken smile haha
Someone give this man a slice of cake 🥺
Laughed for a good solid minute!
There are two very different cake posts today.
